The purpose is to be a forum where ideas can be debated rationally. Many people like to discuss politics, financial issues and social problems but are prevented from doing so because the atmosphere has become so disrespectful and dominated by ignorance and insults. Anyone is welcome to comment on any subject provided that they include a statement of why they disagree or how something can be approved.
